**Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve made the decision to cancel the upcoming Brattleboro Dawn Dance. Please consider purchasing a “ticket” to support the callers, musicians, and sound technicians who would have played. If all the dancers who normally would fill the hall bought a ticket for $10 (that’s less than half the price of the dance), we would be able to pay all our performers their full night’s pay. Stay safe, and we’ll hopefully be dancing again in September!
The Brattleboro Dawn Dances take place twice a year on the Sundays before Labor Day and Memorial Day at the Gibson-Aiken Center in downtown Brattleboro, Vermont. Each dance features contra dancing with three bands and three callers from 8pm Sunday evening to 7am Monday morning.
The Brattleboro Dawn Dances are an opportunity to join hundreds of enthusiastic dancers from far and wide in dancing from dusk to dawn to some of the finest musicians and callers around.
We hope to see you on the dance floor!
IMPORTANT NOTE: While the dawn dance sometimes sells out, only half of the tickets are made available online. This means that there are always about 200 tickets available at the door at the beginning of the night. If you try to buy tickets online and the website says they are not available, it is probably just too late to get tickets online - so come buy them in person, we’d love to dance with you!
