DJ Raymond Byun

Ray Currently a competitive West Coast Swing dancer, but his roots and love for dancing started with hip-hop. Growing up in the Bay Area watching his cousin’s get down in their garage, he was exposed to bboying at an early age. Through breakin, he learned what the true culture of hip-hop represents and all its elements. From that he also grew a love for music in all genres. Following breakin, he was re-introduced to WCS. Colliding these 2 different worlds have culminated a hybrid love of 2 cultures and styles giving him a unique perspective of music and dance.

DJ Pomona

Pomona grew up dancing on the west coast of Canada, sneaking out of her parents’ place in high school to go to house parties. She’s DJ’d all over North Amercia, including local and international events, in Portland, Seattle, SF Bay Area, Montreal, Vancouver and Denver. Her music is decidedly funky; she incorporates hip hop, nu soul, and trap into her rhythm-centered sets, revealing her Lindy Hop and Blues roots. She makes a point to focus on showcasing music from queer people and people of colour in her sets, and will never refuse a solo dance battle.
