Featured DJ’s:

DJ Yemanjo

Yemanjo is a project of DJ, singer and multi-instrumentalist Ben Harris in collaboration with some of the best producers in global electronic music today, including Thornato, Lagartijeando, Srikala, Biomigrant, Scott Nice and more.  Yemanjo makes “Medicine Music for the 21st century”…writing original songs influenced by shamanic South American sounds, various Afro-Latin rhythms and electronic beats; he spins the sonic universe of Latin America into something completely his own.  A live Yemanjo show is an infectious and uplifting experience combining live instrumentation and DJ beat science with live vocals in Spanish, English and Portuguese.  Yemanjo’s ecstatic dance sets have been enjoyed on both US coasts, in Europe, Bali, and Central America since 2015.  When not on tour, Yemanjo can be found an integral part of the emerging conscious dance scene in his adopted home of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.

DJ Matthias

Matthew has been dancing blues and fusion for over 6 years, previously coming from the land of Latin and Argentine Tango, and since taking brief trips into the various Swings. He immediately fell in love with the improvisational freedom blues gives, while providing a structure to connect with another human. He really loves his isolations and syncopations. His philosophy of partner dance - that it is highly conversational with plenty of adjectives, adverbs and other parts of speech - is something he brings to dancing, teaching, and Djing. His goal as a DJ is to bring emotionally evocative music to dancers and empower them to have whimsical, funky, and awe-inspiring dance conversations.

DJ Angie

Angie is always listening for good music, anytime and anywhere. From the woods to wooden floors, she’s played for dancers all along the west coast at house parties, national events, and her own home scenes in Sacramento and the Bay Area. Ever since she started dancing and DJing in 2009, Angie has been an avid social dancer and keeps her ears on the pulse of what makes people move. Her DJ philosophy – feed the floor so they want more. She enjoys breaking a song down into the elements of what makes it great for dancing, and serves up phat beats, tasty rhythms, and weaving harmonies. You can always find Angie grooving behind the booth during her set, and with descriptions like “raw kinetic catharsis” and “explosive love heartbeat”, they are something to experience for yourself.
