Mile High Blues 2017 is excited to bring you the best in Dance Instruction and live Blues Musicians!

See the At the Door prices on our website, here.

Mile High and Blues
Mile High Blues specializes in dances with Live Blues Music - bands are in final contract negotiations and will be announced soon!
When we’re not dancing to Live Musicians, we’ll be dancing to the sweet Blues tunes of DJs Kara Fabina, Mark Carpenter and more!

With 4 Blues tracks, including a Beginner Intensive on Saturday, there are lots of opportunities to learn about Blues Culture and where it comes from, how to develop a deeper relationship with Blues Music (one track of classes will even feature live music!), and how to develop a deeper relationship with many of the dance styles within the family of Blues.

Your Blues instructors for the weekend include featured instructors:

  • Julie Brown
  • Shawn Hershey
  • Damon Stone
  • Katrina Rogers
  • Shoshi Krieger-Joven
  • Jeff Segal
  • John Lozano and
  • Brooke Filsinger!

and guest instructors:

  • Kara Fabina and
  • Cierra Ruffin!

Mile High and Fusion
Mile High Blues includes a Fusion room instead of an “Alt-Blues” room. Spinning sweet Fusion tunes for you will be Kelly Howard and more DJs TBA.

We strive to distinguish and honor the different communities, values, and contributions Blues and Fusion bring to our local and national scenes through including both while retaining a focus on Blues. We are excited to feature a Fusion Track on Sunday with an emphasis on defining Fusion as a unique style and dance family, while also exploring its core values.

Your Fusion instructors for the weekend are:

  • Kelly Howard and
  • Mark Carpenter!

Mile High and **More

We’re also excited to have classes by Shaun Wall on Sound for Dancers and the Add-On Organizing with Vision workshop with Aimee Eddins, Tresne Hernandez, and Tian Yu Yen.

**Check out the opportunities to Compete, Perform, Volunteer, DJ, and nominate Colorado Front Range dancers for our Community Awards (presented on Thursday at the weekend kick-off event!).
